A Snapshot of Piedmont

Join me for a quick tour of Piedmont, two hours outside Milan. After flying from Vancouver and connecting through Montreal, we landed, picked up a car and started making our way to the beautiful village we’d discovered two years ago, Roddino.

On our way we stopped for a great lunch at Luna Langhe. From there we drove to our Airbnb outside Roddino and napped quickly before heading to dinner at Osteria da Gemma (the reason we’d returned to Roddino!).

The next day we walked off the absolute feast that Gemma had made for us, returning to Roddino by foot and stopping in for coffee at Bottega Incontro. It was so lovely and welcoming, and the coffee so good, that we went back the following day.

The evening after our first coffee at Incontro, we dined at Uri Sapori Condivisi. What can I say? This is my favourite restaurant in Italy. Federica and Kim have created a warm space with gracious service and impeccable food. Plus, they are unfailingly friendly and welcoming and if you’re lucky, you’ll have a cat join you in the dining room!

The last time we visited, I was fortunate to sit down with Federica and Kim, and you can hear directly from them in this short episode of Cheftimony.

Join me in Piedmont today. Our tour will wrap up in under twenty minutes.
