A Snapshot of Southern Spain

Shrimps from Cadiz, served at El Disparate in Seville.

Delightful meals in Malaga, in Cadiz, and in Seville.

Greetings from Seville!

Today I look back on recent food experiences from the wonderful Cortijo de Pepe and Mesón de Cervantes in Malaga to an anonymous (but simply fantastic) tapas bar in Cadiz to last night’s dinner at El Disparate here in Seville. Along the way I’ll talk about All Saints Day in Cadiz and why dining in a window sill is an excellent experience. I also (almost) hum a few bars of Molly Malone, a tune brought to mind by an excellent dish of cockles last night.

It’s a quick and hopelessly incomplete snapshot of southern Spain… join me!
