Two lawyers talk food! Tony from the 360 Vegas Podcast and I go on about the culinary delights of Las Vegas.

Today you’ll hear from Tony who is one-third of the wonderful 360 Vegas Podcast and a confirmed restaurant enthusiast. Tony is also a lawyer (but not your lawyer) and a top-tier fan of the culinary and gambling wonderland that is Las Vegas. As a life-long enthusiast of games, Tony shares today just why it’s so important to be the person who actually pushes the button on a slot machine.

Tony and I also dive into six of his favourite Las Vegas restaurants (both high-end and budget-friendly); we go step-by-step through a delicious cocktail recipe (one that you’ll want to have on hand come December); and we find ourselves agreeing wholeheartedly that meals need not be fancy or expensive to be wonderful.

If you have not yet been, know that Las Vegas does an incredible job of providing opportunity and choice. Feeling like a special night out? Tony will take you through the menus at Mr. Chow in Caesars Palace, Jasmine in the Bellagio and Carbone at Aria. Looking for something incredibly delicious and easier on the wallet? Join us as Tony talks through the offerings off-Strip at Lotus of Siam and in downtown Las Vegas at Le Thai and Nacho Daddy.

You’ll also hear from Tony’s podcasting partner Keren who kindly joined my wife and me for a spectacular dinner at Lotus of Siam. When the three of us sat down at the table, Lotus CEO Penny dropped by to have a chat and to give us some personalized recommendations from the menu. You’ll hear that conversation today too, during which I learned some of the differences between Northern Thai cuisine and the Bangkok style more prevalent in North America. Suffice it to say that the meal Penny sent out was SO GOOD that it caused me to use some colourful language when I thought back on it, generating the explicit rating for this episode.

I’m very happy to report that the Las Vegas fun will continue in June when I head back to the Mojave Desert to join podcasters and Vegas enthusiasts from here, there and everywhere at 360 Vegas Vacation 11. This is a repeat event organized by the 360 Vegas Podcast crew, providing opportunities for Vegas geeks to meet up and spend time together. Thinking of heading to Las Vegas in June? Check out the Vegas Vacation schedule, fill out the RSVP link on EventBrite (it’s free, the 360 team just wants to know who’s coming), and meet up with us! I’ll be at Center Bar at the Mirage starting at 6pm on June 13th as part of the Vegas Family Meet & Greet. Hope to see you there!
